KOGI tertiary institutions calls off 4 months old Strike
The Joint Action Committee (JAC) which comprise of all Kogi state tertiary institutions embarked on an indefinite strike around late January, 2017 which was call on to redefine their demands to the present administration of Kogi State.
However, these demands of the union may be seen as ambiguous to the present administration even though they were owed by the past administrations of Kogi State.
In addition to this resumption date, the executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Yahaya Bello instructed all institutions and students back to class to resume on May 15, 2017, nevertheless this instruction proved abortive.
As at this morning, an Information reached HaxxyLoaded Admin that “the four months old strike has been suspended officially. All Kogi institutions to resume on June 4, 2017.” This was broadcasted live on Confluence FM and Radio Kogi.
Furthermore, to concerned students of Kogi state University a meeting was held yesterday but the outcome is yet to be known. But with the above effect there is an assurance that kogi state university will also call off her almost four month’s old strike.
